All Time IPL XI

Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most enjoyed event in the cricketing world. With viewers all around the world and the tag of the most successful cricket league, IPL has managed to create another sort of love and bond for the respective franchises. People are crazy about IPL and wait for the league to commence. Even those who are not big cricket enthusiast come with a lot of stats and try to prove their point and show their love for the player or the team.

The 13th season of IPL was set to commence from 29th March but had to be postponed due to the outbreak of COVD-19. One of the most trending things right now is to make an “IPL Team so far”. Looking after different statistics and comparing between many players, we decided to stick with these 15 players keeping every season of IPL in mind. We have made a playing XI and a bench of four players. So let’s start.


1. Chris Gayle ✈️
If we talk about T20 Cricket, one player which definitely comes to our mind is Chris Gayle. He is a true entertainer and an absolute match winner. He can single handily win you games and can become a difference between two sides. He has played almost his entire career as an opener and has scored at a strike rate of just over 151 and averaging 41 in 124 innings. He has most sixes to his name with the tally being 326.

2. Virat Kohli
The Indian Captain is the highest run getter of the IPL so far. He is one of the best batsmen in the world cricket right now and by far the best in the limited overs format. To consider him at the opening spot was a bit tricky one but his stats speaks for himself. With half of his career at No.3 and half at the opening spot for the Royal Challengers, Kohli had been phenomenal at both fronts. With 60 innings while opening the game, he has scored at an average of 48 and a decent strike rate of 140. More importantly he has 5 centuries to his name, all of them being scored while opening the innings. Altogether his stats are as follows.

Innings: 169 Runs: 5412 Average: 37.85 S/R: 131.61 100s: 5

3. Suresh Raina
Raina is one of the best T20 players of India. He is also known as Mr. IPL and is the second highest run getter in the IPL. With 169 innings at No.3, he has scored more than 4900 runs at a strike rate of 137. He is an immense part of the CSK side who have never failed to reach the Top 4 stage.

Innings: 189 Runs: 5368 Average: 33.34 S/R: 137.15 100s: 1

4. Rohit Sharma
The Mumbai Indians captain has really been a very good player at No.4 in IPLs. In 86 innings playing at the same, Sharma has managed to score around 2400 runs at an average of 32. He has 194 sixes to his name altogether and been a part of 5 IPL winning teams. He also has a hat trick to his name

Innings: 183 Runs: 4898 Average: 31.60 S/R: 130.82 100s: 1

5. MS Dhoni (C/WK)
Dhoni has been the best captain of the IPL so far. He has guided his respective team to the playoffs in 11 occasions out of 12, winning 3 of them with CSK. His batting stats are quite impressive as well. He averages over 50 at No.5 and has an incredible strike rate of 145. He has the record of highest number of sixes by an Indian in the IPL. He has also been involved in more than 120 dismissals as a keeper.

Innings: 170 Runs: 4431 Average: 42.20 S/R: 137.82 

6. Kieron Pollard ✈️
Kieron Pollard is one of the finest allrounders in T20 cricket. He is one of those players who could finish your innings in a majestic manner as well as chip in with few important overs. More importantly, he is one of the best fielders and will definitely save many runs for your team. His strike rate is over 150 with 8 fifties to his name at No.6. He has also taken 56 wickets.

Innings: 135 Runs: 2756 S/R: 146.83 Wickets: 56

7. Ravindra Jadeja
Jadeja has been a key player for his teams in every edition of the IPL. He is a great spinner and a fine hitter of the ball. He can quickly score in the end. He is an excellent fielder and always remains energetic on the field. He has 106 wickets to his name and scores at a strike rate of 122 at No. 7 spot.

Innings: 127 Runs: 1925 S/R: 122.85 Wickets: 106

8. Sunil Narine ✈️
Narine has been one of the biggest finds of the IPL. He has transformed himself into a good allrounder by contributing a little bit from his batting. Talking about his bowling, he is one of the best in the business. He has an economy rate of under 7 and has 122 wickets to his name an excellent bowling average of 23.

9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
The Medium Pacer has the highest number of wickets by an Indian pacer in IPL history. He has been phenomenal with his bowling skills and has taken 133 wickets throughout his IPL career. He has an economy rate of just over 7 which makes him deadlier.

Matches: 117 Wickets: 133 E/R: 7.25 

10.  Amit Mishra
Amit Mishra loves to perform in IPL. He has a majestic record there and is a show stealer. He has 157 wickets to his name which is a record for the highest wicket taker by an Indian. He has even taken 3 hat tricks and has an economy of 7.3.

Matches: 147 Wickets: 157 E/R: 7.34

11. Lasith Malinga ✈️
Malinga with his Slinga has always been a nightmare for many batsmen. He is a quality player and holds the record of the highest wicket taker. He too has an economy of just over 7 and has taken 170 wickets. He has been an immense part of every MI winning squad. 

Matches: 122 Wickets: 170 E/R: 7.14

Innings: 126 Runs: 4706 Average: 43.17 S/R: 142.39

2. AB De Villiers ✈️
Innings: 142 Runs: 4395 Average: 39.95 S/R: 151.93

3. Harbhajan Singh
Matches: 160 Wickets: 150 E/R: 7.05

4. Jasprit Bumrah
Matches: 77 Wickets: 82 E/R: 7.55
